The Independence Calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter for your cost of living, your assets, your debts, and your asset income are used to perform the calculation on your own device. They are not sold, shared, or published, and they are not used to profile you.
When you submit the form before your result, two things are collected: the first name you give and the email address you give. That is all. No payment details are collected anywhere on this site, and no account is created for you.
To send you your result and occasional letters about the ideas on this site. Nothing daily, nothing urgent. Your email address is not sold, rented, or passed to advertisers.
Until you ask for it to be removed, or until you unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from all future letters. You can also write to the address above and ask for your record to be deleted entirely.
The site is hosted by Netlify, and email is sent through a third-party email service provider. Both process data on the publisher's behalf under their own privacy terms. No other party receives your details.
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. If analytics are added in future to understand which pages are read, this page will be updated before that happens.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, you have the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to its use. Write to the address above and it will be handled. There is very little held about anyone here, so these requests are simple to satisfy.
